My name is Michelle, and I knit. This is me, knitting. Well, it's not me, it's my blog. Yes, this is my blog. And I knit. I'm learning more every day. Well, not every day but most days. Oh, and I'm vegan. I like it that way.

Lazy Sunday

Lazy Sunday,
Lazin around until the late afternoon
Call Aaron (across the apartment) just to see how he's doin'
Hello?
What up, AA!
Yo popcorn, what's crackin'?
You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?

Van Cortlandt!
Man it's happ'nin'!
----------------------

But first, my hunger pangs are stickin' like duct tape

Let's hit up New York City Trees to find the dopest route

So fun! And I was wondering what that "crazy delicious" reference was a while ago. Now I got it! Okay, and please don't tell me that's underwear you saw in the park?! Eeew. Not a huge surprise in New York though.

yep, pink panties as bright as the flowers! we also saw tons of other "ny park" stuff, like a boy chasing birds with a baseball bat (but luckily, he was too slow to harm any) and 3 people looking very suspicious near the parade grounds. and tons of stray food garbage around. very different from the gardens or central park or the other manhattan parks so very interesting, too.

at least they're bright pink and not tighty whiteies! I love that you have such a green space in such a big city!

it is nice that there's some green space. it's the main thing i enjoy doing in the city right now -- getting "away" from it! van cortlandt park is actually right at the top of the city, in the bronx, bordering westchester county, and it's the 3rd largest green space in the city. it's largely recreational (fields and such) and a lot of people use it like their backyard (lots of parties), but if you get into the trails, a bit of city escape.

Its so awesome how you and Aaron go out and do this stuff. I wish I could get Chris to leave the dang house for something other than a new video game to fry his brain on!

Anyways it looks like you guys had a great day. I love the park pics!

isabelle!
it used to be at youtube.com, and i had a link to it in this february entry here, though not too long after this, nbc got all serious and made them take it down. its supposed to be on nbc's website, but when i checked it out to link to it here, but it was taking too long to load. so i linked to the wikipedia article, which i think is kinda fun/funny.

but then while writing this comment i checked it out again, and found a better link (still from nbc) here.

enjoy.

i had to check and see if sarah who commented here was the same sarah as my friend sarah, who would say the exact same thing about her husband chris (except my sarah usually calls her husband by his last name, but still i thought it could be her).

but turns out there are (at least) two sarahs who would like to get their chrises to go out more.
